Activity
What Do I Wear? Make Weather Clothing Tags
Does your child have their own sense of style? While many kids have their own own tastes and preferences when it comes to clothing, they often need help deciding how to dress for the weather. This simple activity is not only fun, it's also a useful way to organize children's closets — and offer kids some autonomy to boot. (You may even want to make these for your own closet!)

Thank you for your input.
What You Need:
- Twist ties
- Hole punch
- Bottle with round bottom
- Red poster board
- Blue poster board
- Marker
What You Do:
- Create circles (as many as you may need) on your red and blue posterboard by tracing around the bottom of a bottle.
- Write WARM on the red posterboard circles and COOL on the blue posterboard circles. Explain to your child that the red circles are for warm days, and the blue circles are for cool days.
- Cut out the circles and punch a hole at the top of each one.
- Put a twist tie through the hole and attach each circle to the neck of a clothes hanger.
- Match the clothing to the appropriate circle.
Not enough time? No problem! Tie ribbons around the clothing hangers, blue for cool weather and red for warm.
Learning self-care and organization skills is an important part of growing up. Children will enjoy seeing their clothes with fresh eyes, while simplifying the getting-dressed process.
